MAKE 10 WORDS FROM 1 WORD

Hey Badmovies.orgers!
Let's take one word, and then find 10 words hidden in it.  Just like the games on a kid's menu at a family restaurant.  One poster at a time finds a word, and labels the word with the sequential number, until we reach 10.  Then the 10th poster submits a new word.  But put out new words you KNOW 10 words can be made from it.  Here's an example:

First post:
SACRELIGIOUS
Subsequent posts:
1. Legs
2. Lice
3. Guise
4. Guess
5. Sugar
6. Sure
7. Cure
8. Guile
9. Rug
10. Ruse
And with that tenth post:
10. Ruse
NEW WORD: METICULOUS
And no names among the 10 words, please.  In a pinch you could use "A" or "I", if you can think of no other words.. but let's try to use our imagination!
