I was wondering when this would happen, thank God the oppurtunity came.

On January 28th, 2012, my band Mellevon will take part in a battle of the bands at Club Soda. I just got word of this a few minutes ago from our guitarist/founding member.

I'm so excited!

Correction: Godmonster. That was just a small side project of mine that I'm pretty much done and over with at this point. In all honesty looking at how much I've improved as a vocalist, I'm actually quite embarrassed by the Godmonster songs.

For the last couple of months, I have been the harsh vocalist for my friend's band Mellevon. This same friend was also in Godmonster. Now, whereas Godmonster was mix of doom, punk and ambient music, Mellevon incorporates elements of heavy, thrash, melo-death, death/doom, and goth metal with a bit of core music.

I hope this cleared things up.

Don't feel bad.  When I read him describing his music, they both came off sounding like the same thing to me.

I can answer this.. melo-death, or melon-death, is pretending to kill someone with melons.. to the rythmic beat of drums.
