A guy who is a semi-regular customer came in yesterday who is known to be rude from time to time. I rang up his items then he handed me one of the most disreputable ten dollar bills I'd ever seen....that was still in circulation. I told him that my boss probably wouldn't want me to accept it and did he have another one. I said it in a polite manner but he then went into this ridiculous tirade about how this was American money and what did I have against American money and if I didn't like it I should just leave this country. I tried to explain that it was only the condition of the bill I had a problem with but he called me a bad American and invited me to leave. I stepped in there and said that to question my patriotism over a $10 was silly. He told me that he'd come talk to my boss about it so I gave in and took the crummy bill. Sheesh...I love my job!
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

People like that always cheer me up for some odd reason. I mean, ya think you've got problems? How'd you like to be this delusional a-hole? All of a sudden your own life seems pretty darned fantastic after that kind of comparison   :teddyr:

So, you had your patriotism questioned by a crazy person?

Just consider the source and move on. Things like that are annoying though.

Perfectly put! I work at 7-11, situations like this are very common. Many times I have to convince myself to just stop thinking about some jerk, when I finally do, I feel so much better.

I try to be forgiving and non-hateful, I believe hate breeds hate. Still...people are so hateable...  :buggedout:

You should have questioned HIS patriotism.  After all, he should have enough pride in U.S. currency to swap his raggedy-ass bill at a bank.  They would give him a new one and the raggedy one would probably be ear-marked for destruction, which is what the government does with most raggedy-ass currency.

I wish I'd been there....Trace made me promise not to get into it with customers when I'm there, but I'm sure he would've heard me laughing my a** off at him.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.
