And he's making them aliens...

I WILL KILL HIM

Meh.  The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have changed and evolved steadily through their various incarnations.  In their original comic book appearance, they ambush Shredder and, while he's confused and defenseless, flat-out murder him -- as Splinter trained them from birth to do.  He's their "adversary" for all of about two panels.

Keep this in mind: a bad new film does not cause the material you love to cease to exist.  It ain't worth raising your blood pressure over.

So I guess Being Teenagers, Mutants, Ninjas, and Turtles wasn't enough.  Now they're teenage mutant ninja alien turtles?

What are they going to do for the sequel?  Teenage Mutant Ninja Alien Turtles From the Future?    Teenage Mutant Ninja Alien Turtle Cops?

I've always thought that. But I hoped that after Transformers Bay would learn to leave the '80s alone.

We need original idea, remaking old movies isn't really cutting it. I want a new original and fun series.

It's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Who CARES. I find it funny that people can get so huffy over something as silly and disposable as TMNT.

Tactful as a tank, eh Kasey?

Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

Meh, I think all his films are just train wrecks.  I wish him luck and he won't see any of my coin.

I can't think of any good Bay film.

I hear a trainwreck coming. I'm disappointed, being a lifelong TMNT fan.

However, the TMNT isn't exactly Shakespeare, and the toons/movies were bad to begin with, in a cheesy kinda way.

Hell, TMNT: The Secret of the Ooze featured a battle/dance sequence with Vanilla Ice, straight off the set of Cool As Ice or whatever dumb movie he did was.

sounds like we have the first Razzie contender of the year on our hands
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

Aside from the creme eggs, it captures Bay's style surprisingly well.

"Are we trapped in a Micky Bay film?"
"Possibly."
"So anything we touch is likely to explode?"
"Absolutely."

I have to agree that making the ninja turtles aliens just makes no sense. They're mutants. That completely explains the whole humanoid turtle thing. But then, this is the same director who thought hanging a Transformer's batch in our faces was a good idea.

I do, however, kind of like Bay in the ironic, so-bad-it's-good way. At least I'm getting there. I actually liked Armageddon and The Rock. Haven't cared for much of his work since, but I'm finding there's a lot to laugh at in it. Rifftrax helps.

But it was a fun cheesy. Bay may make good action scenes but he always writes the most annoying and shallow characters. Watching Transformers is painful.

If you think about it, if they are aliens, then are they really turtles then?  So in general, they really are just Teenage Ninjas.  Also, do aliens even know of ninjustu?  If that's the case, then they are just Teenage...  Not much of a title admittedly.

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

A.J.- it was a fun cheesy. I enjoyed them for what they were. But they aren't great and shouldn't be on a pedestal like some put them on.

I don't like anything by him either, but I always got the impression everyone else liked The Rock.
