It just occurred to me . . .

I am so tired I can't sleep after my girls' BD party this evening, and was lying on the couch watching TV and caught part of SUCKER PUNCH on Cinemax . . . the opening fantasy combat sequence, with the Buddhist Temple and giant samurai robot warriors.  I simply realized that SUCKER PUNCH is quite possibly the greatest movie of all time. I love it that much.

Throw away your Rembrandts.  SUCKER PUNCH is the only art you will ever need.

What is it with you and that movie  :bouncegiggle:

Never seen, and since I don't watch TV or rent movies I will most likely never watch - unless somebody gives me the Blu-ray for free  :teddyr:

I dunno, it looks like pretentious crap. One shouldn't judge a movie until seen but this and Kick-Ass are the only two movies I have no desire to watch. Ever.

Indy-you need professional help -this coming from a guy who s**ts and breathes Bela Lugosi-so you KNOW you may have a problem.

OK, OK, maybe I exaggerate a wee bit - but I SERIOUSLY love this movie!  Both the incredible visual eye candy and the underlying existential truths are so seamlessly woven together.  And you have steam powered zombies to boot!!!

I still love Sucker Punch. The only thing I didn't like about it was the monologue at the end.

Oh, and I actually prefer the theatrical edition, I think the twist happens at a better time and is suitably more abrupt than in the more 'sexual' director's cut which carries on for a while.

But man, talk about an under-appreciated film.

The greatest of all time?  Well alright, I suppose I can watch it then.

Gonna be ticked about that Rembrandt I just tossed in the recycling if I don't like it though  :tongueout:

That reminds me of one of my old friend's favorite sayings.  "I don't care what anyone says.  It's not hard to quit smoking.  I do it four or five times a day."

I'm glad you like it,Indy.....you can like it enough for me. I just couldn't get past the trailer. :teddyr:
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.
