I guess I'd like your opinion on this.  A song called "Genius in France" by "Weird Al' Yankovic.

It's an 8 minute or so 'homage' to Frank Zappa.

I like it overall.  Zappa's great.  It's not a direct parody.  Occasionally Al does 'homages' or 'style parodies" where he kinda parodies an 'overall' style of an artist, ie: Talking Heads, Zappa, DEVO.
