Love the movie but I won't ever watch the full screen version again. Messiah of Evil looks terrific in 16:9 Widescreen on Code Red's DVD.
On a sidenote, that corny song was added by a producer without the director's approval. He always hated that song and its not included on the DVD.

Cool!  When I first saw that film, the second feature at a Drive-In, it lacked the opening pre-credit bit and probably the corny song, too.  It had been renamed DEAD PEOPLE and scared the crap out of me and my gal, still my best friend.  I don't remember what the hell the first feature was, though that is presumably what we'd paid to see.  Did I mention we were less than sober, so maybe that's why we found DEAD PEOPLE so scary?
