I know some of you weren't into the original, but I was.  It was a lot of fun and had some of my favorite action scenes I've ever seen.  So naturally, I'm excited for this film as well, but also nervous.

You see, the original source material is... ah... dark.  Kick-Ass was something else, but the sequel was really something else.  It was dark and gruesome, more so than the original.  I'm really freaked about what will be in the movie because the comic had lots of bad scenes in it (in more ways then one).  However, I won't say more and let you guys speak.  What do you think?  Interested in this film?

I enjoyed the first film better than I enjoyed the comic it was based off.  In the comic, it seemed to come across as shock for the sake of shock value a few too many times. I couldn't even bring myself to check out the sequel.  That's not exactly a writter I have a lot of faith in anyway.

The movie sequel I might see though, once it hits DVD.

Yeah, and it seemed like there was a lot of pointless swearing, which got old very fast.  And I'm not usually one to complain about swearing at all...

Yeah, the comic is pretty bad in comparison.  However, if you thought the first comic was shok for the sake of shock, the sequel is somehow even worse when it comes to that.  The brutality towards kids in it alone is enough to make one puke (and there are plenty of things to vomit in disgust over), which is why I'm so nervous about this film.  It's going to have to tone things down a lot in order to make this movie passable.

The second one also just isn't that great of a story.  It's pretty forgettable.  Meh.
