are you sure it's a movie? i was thinking that this reminds me of dark shadows. not the original,of course,or the movie, i mean the remake series,i think it was on scifi?

Sounds cool.  Any more ideas that might help us identify it?  American movie?  Did it look theatrical or made for TV?  When did you see it?  If it was on TV, do you remember which channel?  A cable station or free to air?
