The MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW

I watched this one today on YouTube:

It's a rerun of an old show.  It's great.

I primarily watch this show for Ted Knight.

Ted was great.
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.
It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide.

Always a fan of this one. I especially enjoyed the dark humor of the episode where Chuckles the Clown died.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

A great show. Ted Knight, Ed Asner and Mary. I also liked the spin-off Rhoda.
"This above all: To thine own self be true!"

I remember watching that episode as a kid, and even though I didn't completely understand why, I couldn't stop laughing. I think I can safely blame my family for being drawn to the dark side of humor.

Great, Allhallows! Now you got me wanting to buy the complete series. Like Amazon needs MORE of my money....

I can relate, but for the time being, there are a lot of episodes available on YouTube:

Having a Mom who was and is a feminist, I couldn't understand some of the people who hated this series because it was "about a woman on her own who wants to get ahead in life".  All I could say to Mary was "Right on, sister!"
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.
