Reeeeal shot in the dark here! I was only 6 or 7 when I saw part of this movie at a local theater as part of a double feature before my mom and dad dragged me out by my ear.

It involved some type of monster dude with a hideous face, or lack of a face, just a bloody mess where a face should be. The only part I remember was this one guy out fishing in a creek or river in the woods. The guy is wearing glasses, a cap, and a fisherman's gear. He is attacked and killed, ripped apart or whatever, by the monster dude. Then later we cut to a cool scene of the fisherman guy's head floating in the water and falling over a small waterfall, with the top of his head hollowed out because his brains had been scooped out of his head.

This was pretty gory for an American film, so in hindsight, I am doubting it's American origins. My guess is that this might be an Italian film because what I described seems a little too grisly by American standards; Italian filmmakers do gore rather well!
First rule is, 'The laws of Germany'
Second rule is, 'Be nice to mommy'
Third rule is, 'Don't talk to commies'
Fourth rule is, 'Eat kosher salamis'

Thank you, akiratubo! I read the reviews of it on IMDB, and this certainly sounds like it. The bad reader reviews also might explain the real reason why my parents dragged me out of the movie before it ended.  :teddyr:
