hot brunette, a house in the woods?

I remember seeing this movie made in the 90's, or more recently. I am really hazy on the details, so if some element doesn't fit, feel free to suggest something similar. The only thing I am sure of was it had a gorgeous brunette as a main character that I have never seen in anything else. I vaguely seem to recal college kids going camping, finding this house in the woods, and then finding the brunette who had like, gone through some portal as a child. she had a necklace ( I think?) that was somehow the key, or powerful or something and her father had been killed when she was little. Anyway, she was like a crazy warrior chick and fights the evil and saves the day. I cannot for the life of me remember it's title, or more than that. Also I may have watched two movies that night and blended them together, but I don't think so. Does  anyone know movie what I'm talking about?
