Goodbye Ms. Krabappel.  We will miss you.  I wonder if this will be like when Phil Hartman died and they'll retire the character?

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

From the article: "I was tremendously saddened to learn this morning of the passing of the brilliant and gracious Marcia Wallace," executive producer Al Jean of "The Simpsons" said in a statement. "She was beloved by all at 'The Simpsons' and we intend to retire her irreplaceable character."

Didn't realize Mrs. Krabappel was voiced by the lady from "Newhart." R.I.P. Marcia, you made me laugh.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Such a bummer. I wasn't familiar with her outside of "The Simpsons" till fairly recently, when I started watching reruns of the old 70s "Match Game" on Game Show Network where she was an occasional panelist.

According to the Simpsons Facebook page, the show will retire Mrs. Krabappel. Wonder how they're going to handle that.

Just as a curious note here: I think Wallace may (I say may) have done the voice of "Kee-Rava", one of the Argonian innkeepers in Riften in the game Skyrim. The voice sounds quite familiar.

This is the only Argonian female that I could find in the Skyrim cast on IMDB (very pretty, btw. Looks nothing like an Argonian): http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0122359/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t76

I had the same thing happen to me in reverse in that game. I had no idea that my sidekick, Aela the Huntress, was really Claudia Christian the entire time!  :teddyr:
