Trevor

You have been on my mind since yesterday: I hope you will be better soon and back with us even sooner.

Sending you good vibes, good wishes and hugs from South Africa.

I spent ten days in the hospital late August early September because of suspected gastritis problems. The doctors soon found out that I have inherited high blood pressure. They told me after countless tests and nearly draining all of my blood  :bluesad: I'm on medication now, my blood pressure is down to normal (121/62) and my gastritis, which all these years seemed somewhat connected to the high blood pressure, went from agony to relief.
It's good to get checked from head to toe on a regular basis and then get patched up. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jack.

Thanks guys!  Turned out I've got gastritis as well.  Which is better than a bleeding ulcer, and the doctor said it should clear up (hopefully) in a few days.  I just got back from the hospital now - took two days instead of one of course - and I'm feeling pretty weak but at least I'm on the road to recovery.  I've got a whole pile of medications I need to sort through.  And happily a whole pile of DVD's that arrived in the mail while I was gone too!   :teddyr:

Thanks for the concern my friends, I appreciate it

WHAAAAAT!!  You're supposed to be made of steel!  You can't get sick!!  I hope you feel better soon!  I had to look up gastritis because in my juvenile mind, it always sounded like a fart infection and I was happy with that, but it reality, it seems painful and not at all as funny as infected farts.

I had not heard of this!  Best of wishes and a speedy recovery.
I'm fortunate that I have not seen much of hospitals as a patient, just as an employee.
Take care buddy!

Glad they know what to do with you!  Now maybe they can share...we could use some pointers.    :teddyr:

Here I was thinking you'd be whiling away the hours watching 'Hospital' horror - something along the lines of "Nurse Sherri" (1978) perhaps.

LOL, I did not have infected farts - they're bad enough in their normal form  :bouncegiggle:

I just spent a day and a half lying in a hospital bed afterwards so I couldn't really tell what aftereffects the sedative had. I remember the anesthesiologist telling me I'd start to feel drowsy in a few seconds and I was out like a light in about 3 seconds.
