20 TERRIFYING TWO-SENTENCE HORROR STORIES!

Billed as the shortest horror story ever, this one was supposedly written by someone named Frank Brown back in the mid-twentieth century:


The last man on earth sat alone in his house. The phone rang.

    That was the late Frederic Brown, who wrote wonderful science fiction, much of which was quite short.

It's misquoted, but that's the first story that immediately came to my mind when I read the title.  I have a huge collection of Fredric Brown's stories in a volume called "From These Ashes."

    I used to have a copy of ANGELS AND SPACESHIPS, which had a lot of his short stories ; my favorite is "The Last Question".
