The other one also said you aren't in a good place. But both agree that there was no attempt to change the rules. From what I read your NBER doesn't get to make up the rules, they seem pretty set in place but the decision on being in a recession is much more nebulous than it is elsewhere. I'm guessing that those rules have been in place for several administrations. Maybe not though. Perhaps they change the rules on a weekly basis.

So yeah, sorry but it looks like you were conned by someone just looking to stir up trouble by claiming the government was trying to change the rules. I'd imagine the journalist in your video either knows very little about how these things work (and therefore isn't really qualified to be asking the question in the first place), or who was just trying to create sensationalist headlines (indicating a lack of journalistic integrity) and other people have just jumped on it. Either way, it very quickly falls apart under any level of investigation.

Either way, my advice would be to just be a little more careful about what news you listen to. Take it all with a pinch of salt, regardless of what side it comes from.

^This whole mess is starting to remind of that scene from Throw Mamma From The Train, where Larry's elderly room mate tells him to stop obsessing over his ex-wife...,..^

Your projecting.

Back on topic...

It’s been awhile since I’ve spent much time watching bad movies. In truth, I suppose I’m more of a science/fantasy film fan with low standards. But, even then, I haven’t seen many B-movies of late. Too little time. :/

My wife was worn out at the end of the school year and really needed a restful summer.
Instead, she's gotten Type A flu and COVID, both complicated by her asthma.  She's had to deal with her Mom being hospitalized and then sent to a rehab center, and we don't know if she'll ever be strong enough to come home again or not.
And she starts back to work next week.

I had a infection recently.  My face was basically leaking blood and pus.  I had to go to the emergency room and have surgery to have it drained, then they kept me for several days running IVs and doing tests.  I left the hospital with two big holes in my head.

It's now mostly healed closed, but I still have to go back to the doctor at least one more time for a re-evautation.

Nobody has mentioned to me where I'm going to need surgery again to fix the wound, if it's just going to leave a big scar, or even if I'm ever going to be able to grow back my goatee again.  (They had to shave me for the surgery.)

So for the past ... almost a month now I've had bandages covering my entire chin and have been having to rinse out and pack the wound every night.  It's just getting to the point where I can't pack it anymore.

Not a fun time.  I wouldn't recommend it.
I do think I lost some weight though, so that's good.

When the scrolling wheel on your mouse finally wears out, & everything on your screen starts bouncing up & down like an old TV set from the '70s with a touchy VH-hold............
