Hey folks!
Since this day doesn't come around too terribly often, let's celebrate it by sharing our favorite moments in the franchise, including the kinda cool (but unrelated) tv series.
One of the best: When Jason first gets his mask!
friday the 13th part 3 Jason first scene with hockey mask
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

The HELLOWEEN episode from the TV series with the great RG Armstrong as Uncle Lewis.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Jack

Oh definitely blue bikini babe from part 3:

Violet doing the robot:

Friday The 13th Part 5: Violet's Death (Full & Unaltered)

Even though it's one of the crappier entries in the franchise, the part at 2:45 cracks me up

NSFW - bad language

FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 8 - julius
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

- Paulo Coelho

Not the film series. I've never seen any of the films, and I have no interest in seeing any of the films, but the TV series . . . ? Too many to enumerate, even though people who liked the film series, hated the show, because they did not associate the shows with the films, and people who disliked the film series, hated the show, because they did associate the shows with the films. And if that is not enough, it was a show that pushed the envelope, when it came to violence, and that offended some people. And that is an understatement. Though, I did see violence on TV that was more disturbing, then what I saw on the show. A much underappreciated show (IMHO.)

In the TV series there was a multi-part episode called THE QUILT OF HATHOR where they go to an Amish community to recover a cursed quilt.  One particularly gory death involved a woman using the blanket to cause another to kill herself in her sleep by pulling out her eyes!  Yucky! (no pic/video, sorry)

From the series:

A last-season episode (I think) about a magic disc that allows people to swap bodies.  Long story short, the villain of the episode accidentally swaps bodies with a stuffed cadaver he keeps in his attic (!!!).  Mickey disembowels him with a sharp object.  The moment is him falling to his knees as all the sawdust and other stuffing spills from his gut, and he says, "You b***h!"

Another is from an episode about a tattoo needle.  A man has been using it to cure his daughter of something or another but ends up making her rabid and monstrous.  She kills him with her fingernails and teeth in shockingly explicit detail.  The moment is when the heroes end up containing her in a cage and the camera watches her flail around and bash her face into the bars like an animal for a few seconds before it cuts to the wrap-up scene in the junk shop.  I remember this episode had a content warning at the beginning, the very first time I had ever seen such a thing on a TV show.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

Also from the series: the episode with the cursed camera where you can have two of yourself running around.  :teddyr:

Jack (Kevin Bacon)'s death in Friday the 13th & Mark's wheelchair death from Part II tops the list for me for the film series.

From the TV series, the episode with the garden mulcher comes mind as does the episode about a cursed hearing aid entitled "Stick it in your Ear".
"This above all: To thine own self be true!"

I loved the Freddy and Jason fight.
Especially the part when Freddy just stands up after having his arms cut off and jason's looking at him like "what the heck?"  The Freddy pops his arms back and does a jerk off motion.

Jason skewers a guy repeatedly and folds him in half in his bed! (Freddy vs. Jason)
