But in a good way.

I actually now own a car for the first time in two years since my last one died on me. The finance was approved today and the car will be dropped off - hopefully not on my head  :buggedout: - here at work tomorrow.

A nice pick up or "bakkie" [bah-kee] as we call it here: virtually new.

I am smiling now.  :teddyr: :teddyr:

Getting a new vehicle gives a nice sense of accomplishment, doesn't it?  Enjoy!

Congratulations on your (almost) new vehicle. And I just learned a bit of South African slang.

Congrats!

It looks pretty nice.

Thanks, Brother Andrew: I have worn out four or five pairs of shoes in the last two years just trying to get to work.  I should just add that the exercise involved in getting to work will not stop just because I have a car - I used to walk almost 20 kilometres a week at one point and I got too used to the endorphins. :buggedout:

Great and welcome to the site.  :teddyr:

Afrikaans is a wonderfully expressive language - so much so that I can swear at someone in Afrikaans and they'll think they're being complimented.

It was delivered an hour ago. At least no more weekends sitting at home.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Good job, buddy! I aint had a drivers liscence. since 1985.
I have drove cars-and owned them. But after my 2nd offence of drunk driving in 1984-I have never had a legal liscence.
I swore as long as I drink- wont drive-and I dont. I almost killed 3 people. I dont drive.
