I think this movie has a famous actor in it but I can't remember who.  I thought it was Clint Eastwood but this isn't anywhere in his filmography.

All I remember is the last scene.  The cop (I think?) has pushed the bad guy over a ledge but the bad guy has caught a grip.  The bad guy is reaching into his belt for a gun.  The good guy says something like, "Maybe if you push hard enough, you'll make it to the pool." (There's a pool down below.)

The cop pushes the bad guy's hand off the rail, the bad guy gets his gun, and then he falls to his death while firing wildly.

The bad guy was dressed like a punk, with a big blonde mohawk, studded leather pants, etc.

Akira: I think that's from the movie Stick with Burt Reynolds: stuntman Dar Robinson is the baddie. He made that fall without an airbag, by the way, only with a descender cable to break his fall.  :buggedout:

YES!  THAT IS IT!  THANK YOU!

My pleasure.  :teddyr:

I read a story that the late Dar Robinson wasn't worried about the fall, he was just concerned about his acting and whether he would be able to empty his gun before his fall was broken.

Aww man.  I remember seeing the trailer on TV back then.  I was sure it was a Burt Reynolds movie but it didn't seem to fit Sharkey's Machine, which had a similar stunt performed by Dar Robinson.
