Rocktober Blood (1984) Scam Alert

Rocktober Blood is a cheesy Metalploitationslasher with a devoted fan base written, produced and directed by the Sebastian Family. For ages people have demanded this title on DVD, and in March 2016 there was a gofundme Blu-ray announcement by the Sebastians, with proceeds going to the Greyhound Animal shelter charity owned by ... the Sebastians.

Standard Blu-ray was priced at $50 + $11 for shipping within the U.S.

other deals included Soundtrack CD, shirts, autographs and the promise of Rocktober Blood part 2 for $100+

Discs shipped this week and customers confirmed that the Sebastians used Blu-ray-Rs even though they said it will be factory pressed, legit Blu-rays (they lied). Not only that, they simply copied the old Vestron VHS (!) for the disc, most likely the one thats been floating on youtube for some time. And yes, the soundtrack is on CD-R.

It also appears they are using their own animal charity as a loophole which makes it nearly impossible for refunds. Clever bunch, aren't they? But can the Sebastians get away with this? The outrage on the internet is huge as expected.
