"Pastor" Steven L. Anderson - a bigoted, anti South African "Christian" homophobe has become a prohibited immigrant to my country.  :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr:

Best news I've had this year: as a bisexual celibate Christian, I must be this dude's absolute worst nightmare.  :teddyr:

We had more than enough nonsense in South Africa under apartheid: we don't need people like this to come here and spout hate and loathing.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I have to admit I'm somewhat of a surprise fan of andersons. I listen to bible commentary from across the spectrum and while I don't agree with his fundamentalist perspective it is well presented.

He also thinks independently on the issue of Zionism and also the book of Revelation which are holy writ literally on the fundy side so hes not afraid to ruffle feathers.  He is a fundamentalist though: he believes a guy named Jonah was trapped in a whale for 3 days you just have to accept some people take thigns literally. I'm not one of them obviously

I don't think people biblical times understood what homosexuality was honestly. I would guess they believed it was people who were avoiding marriage a la what is still done in some parts of the world (cough cough middle east).
