Rescue Space Train Anime

Hey all!  Doing some vintage anime research, and I'm looking for a title...

There was an anime similar in structure to Galaxy Express 999 that had space trains as well - but I seem to remember that it was a type of rescue operation.  Now that I type this, it reminds me of Thunderbirds.  I don't think this will be a tough one for you guys, but I haven't found it.

There was this actually quite entertaining, Korean ripoff anime called "Mazinga 7".  The robot looked like Mazinger Z except it had a train that connected to its ass.  Seriously.  A rescue mission was part of the plot.

I found some info. on a series called Galaxy Railways.  I think this is it - though I thought this was the manga that Galaxy Express 999 was based on.  Also found some episodes on Youtube, so I'll check them out and follow up.
