Let The Right One In TV series??

So, yeah, I read on the internet there's going to be a TV series based on the book/movie Let The Right One In.  (Movie was also remade, rather inferiorly I think, as Let Me In.)

I really, really, don't think they'll be able to do this story justice and wish they wouldn't try unless they're going to get the basics right.  For starters, they're upping the age of the two protagonists to make them high school kids.  Now, for those not familiar with the film (and, really, you should watch it), the main character is 12.  To me, making them teenagers completely destroys one of the main points of the book and film, that the relationship between Oskar and Eli was not romantic or sexual.

I don't know... I might give it a shot anyway, but I'm keeping my expectations low.
