Going on a sabbatical in September 2017

I'm going to be away from phones, computers, deadlines, email, etc for over a month. Yay

I have never been on a sabbatical - not even sure if I spelled the word right - but after almost 28 years of daily grind I need a break.

Are you hiding in a survival shelter during that time? That would be about the only way to cut yourself off from the world. Just make sure you can work the lock from the inside, you know, in case of an emergency like needing clean undies.

I would love to do that but what I will be doing is going to the Western Cape to see Mom and from then on, stay home and chill. No calls, no emails, nothing.

I get a thirteenth cheque in September for my birthday so, yes
