I fairly agree with this list but can't call Manos the worst movie ever made.  I think a bad movie that had a huge budget should be ranked worse that a very clearly no budget movie just because a big budget awful movie had less excuse.

The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

Pacman000

I actually liked Jaws 3 more than Jaws 2. Jaws 3 was goofy, but it still generated some suspense.

These people obviously never saw FAMILY PROPERTY: BACKWOODS HILLBILLY MASSACRE.

Or SUBURBAN SASQUATCH.

Or an Andy Milligan movie.

Or a Polonia Brothers film.

Or a Don Dohler flick.

Nick Millard's CRIMINALLY INSANE aka CRAZY FAT ETHEL (1975) is a good one to pull out for critics who think things couldn't get any worse than a Baby Genius movie or that CATWOMAN movie.

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

I really LOVE CRIMINALLY INSANE ! It's got that gritty 70's sleaze feel of an old porn movie gone wrong.

That being said- I can't go threw these lists on sites like that- mainly because they list 4 movies on a page-and then you click again and it takes forever to load the next page....phooey. Plus they drag out the usual suspects i.e. MANOS, PLAN 9, blah blah blah. These folks who generally view mainstream films should leave the BAD movie critique to the pros.

yup. i'm the queen of lists, but i need to be able to speed read them like any other list i read.

Pacman000

Interesting twist: they didn't list Plan 9. They also didn't actually review any of the movies they chose, so we have no idea why these are the "worst."

Anyone else find it interesting that the bulk of the films tend to be garbage from the last 20-30 years.

Oh, right, millennials are the only people gifted with intelligence, and the world didn't start until sometime in the 1980s, unless it serves their purpose to reference something before then.
I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.

That's why my special niece and nephew refer to me as Uncle Zombie: I must really be old.  Nice to have you back, Brother J.

Hey now, I actually have a soft spot for Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot.  It's one of my childhood movies that I've seen a bunch of times.  It's not a masterpiece by any means, but I'd rather watch it than basically everything else on that list.

Jaws 3 and Jaws The Revenge are watchable.  House of the Dead is bad but still somewhat enjoyable.  The Fog remake sucked ass.  I Know Who Killed Me was another MAJOR turd except for having a younger and still somewhat hot Lindsay Lohan.  I haven't seen any of the rest and never plan to.

Uncle Zombie.  It sounds like the horror host from some late night bad movie show.

Wear the name with pride.

I usually split them into separate lists. It's hard for me to compare a big-budget Hollywood bomb to a cheap, crappy movie.

I'm glad CADDYSHACK II and THE AVENGERS (1998) made the list. I have that dreadful Avengers movie on DVD and have watched it at least 3 times in a futile attempt to figure it out. The movie is incomprehensible. I saw the screenplay many years ago and I can understand why the movie makes no sense. It seems like the movie is missing several (probably important) scenes that were in the script.

Exactly. I'm always being asked what the worst thing I've seen is. People just want an answer so I usually say Night of Horror or Quadrant 9EV9. But the truth is there isn't a worst movie ever made. Obviously it's subjective, but more than that it's down to your mood, the circumstances when you saw any given movie, etc. Hundreds, thousands even, offer absolutely no technical or creative value. Picking one out is arbitrary. And you absolutely have to consider the budget and resources the filmmakers had. I end up citing the Star Wars prequels at this point. All the potential, all the money, all the talent, all the time, all the freedom... and that's what you deliver!

When trying to identify the worst movies ever made there's only one thing I'm sure of: you don't do it with metrics based on reviews.

Alex

Yeah, when people ask me what I think the worst movie ever made was and I tell them "Taking budget into account, the remake of Solaris" it always seems to surprise them.
