Lucy. Yes, I liked this! And yes, I know the premise is BS. I know the old meme about only using 10% of your brain is BS. (Well, I'm not sure about some people...) I liked the idea of something happening to someone that causes a gradual transcendence to a higher state and how it might affect them. I also liked the implications it had pertaining to the possibility that humanity was in fact created, and it was created by human action. (Don't roll your eyes, recent quantum experiments clearly show something that is either a form of time travel or something very much like time travel does happen.)

Superman returns. I liked this. It was a good conclusion to the original superman movie series and had the guts to simply pretend that horrible prior movie, "the quest for peace", never happened, giving it the contempt it deserved. Seeing Lois save superman was a great change of stereotypical gender roles and even tho the existence of  the guy who replaced gene Hackman as lex luthor can no longer be acknowledged he did a damn good job of fillingn hackman's shoes. It was not a great movie but not as bad as critics said it was.

Shin Godzilla. Yeah, it was a little  slow paced and boring to people with 2 minute attention spans and little ability to comprehend words with more than 4 letters in them. I am neither and was able to appreciate it as an intelligent movie.

I really enjoyed that movie- it paid homage to the 70's very well.

i agree, and i thought it was brilliant satire of my favorite camp tv show.

Even bad movie fans rag on THE DUNGEONMASTER, but I reject their reality and substitute my own.

TEENAGE ZOMBIES. The old Jerry Warren thing. I like the rural feel and home-made thing about it. I feel the same about MONSTER A GO-GO.

Twilight (2008) - never read the books, never seen the sequels. I watched Twilight without knowing much about it the weekend it hit theaters, and I thought it was alright for what it was, even though I wasn't part of the target audience.

Ghost Rider (2007) - I never understood the hate. I thought Ghost Rider was tons of fun.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) - I enjoyed this more than I probably should.

Poltergeist (2015) - See above.

Halloween II (2009) - A masterpiece in my opinion.

Halloween III was a great movie.

I loved the two Schumacher Batman movies.

The New Ghosbusters movie wasn't that bad.

Howard the Duck!

I saw it during its theatrical run when I was sixteen, and I have championed it ever since.

Whenever I hear someone say that HtD is "the worst movie ever made," I always reply, "Then you obviously haven't seen enough bad movies. Take it from one who knows... there is SO much worse out there." :D

I'm with you on this. I went to see it when it first came out, just to find out what the fuss was all about and I found it surprisingly watchable. It is not my favourite movie by any stretch, and it is sentimental tripe, but it is par for the course. If I had to choose between watching that again, or Prometheus, I'd go for Twilight.
