this is a sad but typical story about a cult leader using self help and so forth to control and ultimately have sex with females.

one thing that caught my eye was this

"Known as "Vanguard" to followers"

The fact that they were supposed to call him Vanguard with a straight face should have indicated they were in a cult, don't you think? He also made them more pliant by putting them on weird diets and so forth.

this is a brand ( his initials) he made them get.

There were really two groups. the main one nvixm was a typical lame self help cult, but within that was a group called DOS. thats where all the sordid stories are coming from. from what I understand they've got this guy but good on innumerable counts.

There's a video online of her 'interviewing' him, I guess as a recruitment piece. She looks absolutely in love with him. Supposedly has the brand herself. Shame, as I loved her on that show, but wow.

I saw that. it was so stupid. He was talking about "authenticity" and how its like reaching into someones soul. yeah she is either really easily impressed or a great actress cuz that was not very profound.

When poor people commit crimes sometimes you can understand why they do it. Need, desperation, etc.. There can be mercy, understanding.
When people who are well off commit acts this heinous therebcan be no forgiveness.

Honestly if what I'm hearing in this case is true (can we really trust the media and police not to overblow a case like this for their own reasons? But it could be true...) then they deserve hell on earth. By 'they" I mean the people truly responsible, not those they preyed on and brainwashed to serve them.
