Did you try talking it over with the guy first before you escalated things?

This reminds me of a story Ulysses Grant told about Confederate General Braxton Bragg:

Bragg was commandant of a fort out west before the Civil War.  The fort's quartermaster died, so Bragg took over both functions.
As quartermaster, he put in a requisition to the commandant to purchase some supplies.
As commandant, he denied his own request.
As quartermaster, he appealed to the Departmental commander for arbitration.
The General replied: "Bragg, you've started a fight with every officer in the army, and now you have started a fight with yourself!
I recommend settling it with a duel!"
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

I'll bet he put in an order for pistols and then turned down the order for powder.

Umm... I don't think I reported myself to the Mod Squad.

All I did was accidentally click on the report button and I got a message back saying "You can't report your own post to the moderators: that doesn't make sense!"

Try it on one of your own posts and see  :teddyr:

Well, now that I know about it, how long do you believe you should be banned for?

P.S. Sorry about letting the spam hang around, as noted it's a hassle for me to get on here nowadays.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...
