As a complimentary post to the one about "the death of stalin" I offer Der Untergang, or the downfall in english. Made in 2004 it has been called the most true to life movie about hitler's last days in thye bunker by some people who were there, including one of the last survivors who was a consultant.

It sure feels true for what it's worth, and the movie spawned an endless series of parody films on youtube.

BRILLIANT film! and highly accurate.
A good companion read to it is THE BUNKER, based on interviews with some 500 survivors of the Fuhrerbunker in Berlin.
It's a bit dated (written in 1975), but still provides a fascinating inside look at Hitler's last days.

Excellent movie. I bought the DVD as soon as it was released, but haven't watched it in a long time.
