Source: Moviegoers embrace theaters' efforts to replicate home. But are folks getting too comfortable?

Is it just me or are trends becoming more weirder than ever? I know people embrace the convenience of having food and drink served at the movie theater (Sorry, I just can't wrap my mind around that one). Now its blankets. What's next, come in your pajamas?  :bluesad:

Sounds like fun, albeit there've been one or two reports of bedbugs in this neck of the woods...

Well if it's minus 50 in a theatre blankets might be needed.

well at least when people start wanking in a theater they have a blankey to do it under now...

PJ movie parties. It depends upon how old you are. There may be a PJ movie party for adults, though, I don't know of any, but some children's areas on cruise ships will entertain the kids by having the kids come in their PJs and then show a film, while the kids will watch the film in their PJs while laying on the floor.

And I can't get into eating or drinking in a movie theater neither. If I want to eat or drink, then I go someplace to eat and drink, but if I want to see a movie, then I go to a movie theater. Though, with all the snacks I buy at the concession stand, I might as well buy a full meal.

I never eat or drink anything at a movie unless I'm watching it at home: if I had to come to a movie in my PJs and sat there covered in a blankie, two words: bed bugs! South African cinemas are not the cleanest places on earth.  :tongueout:

At church this morning it was actually cold with the AC running on full power.  I have a flannel long sleeve shirt and I actually toyed with going out and getting it for a few minutes.

But I am so glad the AC is working now.  Usually we have the other problem where it's 10 to 20 degrees too warm inside.  I'd rather have it a bit on the cool side when it's warm out because of how hard it is to cool the space.  I hope it's a good sign for this winter when we need to heat the church.

I've read at other message boards that people been doing this for a couple of years. They bring blankets and wear pajama pants. I honestly wasn't aware of that.
I guess it is a cultural thing?
