Not perhaps the most famous actor out there, but he did plenty of work.

He was in two movies I own, Tomboy (1985) and Trancers (1984). His face looks somewhat familiar but I couldn't tell you what part he played in Tomboy or Trancers.

Anyway, RIP

For those who wonder . . .
he appeared as Chester in Tomboy
and the Drunken Wise Man in Trancers.

No wonder his name is familiar, he had a career that spanned 73 years, from 1944's Mr. Skeffington to 2017's Dr. Ken, or about 2 years ere his death, e'en if I can't remember seeing him in anything or hearing him. He was well known as a voice actor as well. Another reliable character actor who has gone to that great movie set in the sky. RIP, sir.

Now, I know where I have seen him ere.

When the New York Times of Wednesday, March 20, published his obit, they included a photo of him in a role he played on TV some 50-60 years ago.

That is when I knew I had seen him ere. As one of those actors who seemingly played prissy characters. Not so much as some, but more than others.

RIP, sir.
