hands down one of the strangest and best tv series I've seen
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

I hear nothing but how good this show is.  I've watched about four episodes, and I'm just not getting into it.
This is my awesome signature.  Jealous?

Alex

And there was me thinking I was the only person in the world who hadn't gotten into that show.

I's a subtle kinda strange. The thing just gets weirder and weirder as it goes along...look at things in the backround-I saw a girl walking backward, for no apparent reason.
Watch 'Fire Walk With Me'. It's classic David Lynch...who I think is great.
Then watch Twin Peeks- it helps.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

I would recommend watching them in order of release (Season 1-Season 2-Fire Walk with Me-The Return). If you don't like season 1 because it's too strange, then you won't like it when it gets a LOT stranger. However, if you are sitting there wishing it would get weirder, you'll be happy to watch the whole thing.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

i agree, rev, and bob and ronny. it does take work, but t's worth it if you can deal with the weird.
*sort of offtopic, we just got david and angelo's latest cd, hearing angelo saying"nomnomnomz' is an absolute RIOT! *

Just finished Fire Walk with Me

:hot: :hot: :hot:

It's just as good and as weird as the original tv series

Hypnotic, strange and enthralling

One if these days I'm gonna buy the revival on dvd

And I just finished the revival.

It's much darker and slower than the original. Episode 8 is perhaps the weirdest hour in the entire series.

I'd forgotten how creepy the final episode in the original series was: "How's Annie? How's Annie?"  :buggedout:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Alex

Slightly off topic, but I can never read "Twin Peaks" without thinking of an ex girlfriend. Everytime it comes up I get flashbacks to her lol.

It was good up until they solved the murder case.  It felt like it was rambling and didn't know what it wanted to do after that.

The older woman who thought she was a teenage cheerleader was also strange in the wrong kinda way.

Lynch's original idea was to never solve the mystery, just let the investigation go on for years and years. The network forced him to name the murderer or be cancelled. Season 2 was kind of bad, but the franchise recovered with FIRE WALK WITH ME and "the Return," which is very different but pretty darn good.
