Post your thoughts on the last season, and especially the series finale, HERE.

Maybe now, the acronym will go back to standing for Galaxy Of Terror......

Svengoolie 3

I never watched  any of it but didn't mind peopel who liked it because it wasn't shoved in my face  constantly.

I've heard the fans are really b*tching about the end.  I can sympathize. I never did get over the last episode of battlestar galactica...  :bluesad:
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

Watched it. Who takes the throne slightly surprised me. Trying not to put in any spoilers though. I found the ending curiously unsatisfying but still good and I am wondering if they (in addition to the long mooted prequel series) are considering spin-off shows.

It will probably end the way How I Met Your Mother ended: with a surprising kick in the gut and not the way people actually wanted it to end.

HIMYM: The Mother has been dead for six years when Ted tells his story and he gets back with Robin after his kids urge him to. I was not expecting that ending.  :bluesad:
GOT: Dunno - never seen a single episode.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

The more I go over it in my head, the better I liked the ending.

SPOILERS BELOW:

Dany had to die.  She had been so broken and twisted by events she had become a true monster.
Jon Snow never wanted to be king, and ultimately was given the gift of walking away from it all.
Sansa will be a fiercely independent Queen of the North, and will give that region peace and justice for years to come.
Tyrion will be able to atone for his many mistakes and misdeeds while setting the Six Kingdoms back in order.
And Bran will rule with uncommon wisdom and justice for many years to come.
Brienne will be a legend as Captain of the Kingsguard.
Ser Bronn will die old, fat, happy, and surrounded by whores.

You know me well that I have religious beliefs and all that, but I wouldn't mind to die like that  :teddyr:

I guess it is only me and Indy on this thread who have actually seen the show then.

Count me among folks that never seen a second of it and no desire to.

As a fan of fantasy, I will always consider this garbage as the beginning of the end for the genre. Now they got their greedy paws on Lord of the Rings and Wheel of Time. They even want to remake Willow...

Last week I saw the Tolkien flick. Oh boy... they're trying really hard to destroy everything that means "fantasy", and they seem to be succeding.

Count me as one of the few people on this board that actually liked the show.

Overall, season 8 wan't as bad as everyone is making it out to be.  My only real issue is how they killed off the Night King.  The minute they introduced the kill him all the others will fall idea I know they gave themselves an easy out.

Haven't seen the finale yet, but at this point its almost impossible to avoid spoilers, so I know the major parts.

Did not want to see Danny die.  She was one of my favorites.

I will want to binge this show again at some point.  There was a lot in some of the previous seasons I ended up missing.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Alex

Yay, someone else who actually replied to what the thread is about.

I've never understood why some people make it such a huge point of pride that they have never seen an episode and have no interest in it.
Fine if you don't, but why does that make you better than those of us who enjoyed this nine year fantasy ride?

Because that's what us fanboys do!   :tongueout:
