Oh dear lord this sucked!

Devil cult lead by earnest borgnine, with William "I'll do anything to get away from captain kirk! "Shatner,  eddie Albert and a first appearance by John travolta.

Hell in a Jar, satanic rights, people melting in rain, a guy hugging earnest borgnine and an innocent girl somehow stuck in hell.  This was a jumbled mess that my memory is trying to melt away.

Even with Shatner...Shatting all over the screen, i agree, it sucked.

It's not even funny suck.. it just sucks.

It was banned in South Africa so I guess I didn't miss much.

When I was about 14, one of my friends loaned me a VHS containing The Devil's Rain and The Ultimate Warrior. We also spent time watching movies like The Wall by Pink Floyd. Will have the rewatch, it's probably even worse than I remember. My friend was most likely one of the reasons why I got into b-grade movies, too.

I think it is amazing that The Devil's Rain was still playing theaters in 1981, six years after its first release!

It is a bad movie but far from the worst I own.

i think i'd agree with that, it isn't quite the worst. that would be birdemic II, lol!

From what I heard the Shatner mask that was used for HALLOWEEN was designed after a particular scene from this movie, so I guess we did get something good of it.
I haven't watched THE DEVIL'S RAIN tho.

Well, lookee here.

Error 404 (Not Found)!!1

I just realized that the wording in the movie poster doesn't make sense. "Heaven help us all when The Devil's Rain". This would only make sense if it was 'The Devils Reign', or 'The Devils Rain (down)'.

Borgine was really good in it actually and it was well acted on the most part, but the movie really sucked it wasn't painful to watch i mean it was okay i think gave it a 5/10 or was it lower? i forget anyways, the also was the film that Travolta did a really small cameo but you can tell it's him if you know where to look.

this is the film that got him introduced to that cult. a devil worshipper i forget his name they used him for help with the cult stuff and someone on the set introduced Travolta to the cut he now is in. it's really funny that the film is about a cult and the sad thing is he joined one cause of this film pretty much.

but if people joined a cult cause the movie was that bad now that would be really funny

The ending, where they all melt, is cool!

You can see Travolta melting at 1:19!
