Hallows mentioned FIRST MEN IN THE MOON earlier.
There's a thing they call 'Steam Punk', which I don't really get into, but this film came out waaaay before that, and is good literal filming of any of HG Welles work.
And Harryhausen's work is fantastic, of course!

Yeah, this was harryhaussen's best,  IMO.

I also liked earth vs the flying saucers...

PHASE IV (1974) I seen this way back when at the Strand. Haven't seen it since. I don't recall much about it. I was 12. I was likely in the balcony throwing popcorn at kids down below.

How many people here have seen The Milpitas Monster?

It features a daikaiju sized moth-man as its main feature.  According to wikipedia it was written and filmed by the local high school students.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

That one was mentioned on here a few months ago. I attempted to watch it on youtube but I couldn't manage more than 20 minutes iirc, it was just boring... director's cut sounds like a challenge

CATWOMEN OF THE MOON (1953) and it's remake (!) MISSILE TO THE MOON (1958) both had a giant spider. (It's even the same prop!). I believe the same spider was used in MESA OF LOST WOMEN (1953).

The head and face look similar to the prop used in Tarantula!

TARANTULA was made in 1955.
CAT WOMEN was made in '53. Universal wouldn't borrow a s**tty prop from some z budget film. They made they're own. And the Tarantula prop looks so much cooler.
The reason they look similar is because they're giant tarantulas! But that's about it.

This looks nothing like that except it's a big spider.

I have it in a Mill Creek 50 Movie Pack. This is a great movie to watch at 2:00 a.m.
