I'm fine.  I live in East Texas, so El Paso is 700 miles away from me.
My daughter's husband is stationed there, and he almost got caught up in this one. He was close enough to hear the shots and see people running away.  He got in his car, drove back to his apartment, and locked himself in!

Well I was also thinking that someone close to you   could have been in it so was hoping you weren't given more grief now.

But in all seriousness, I suppose it's  only a matter of time before someone in my sphere,  even distantly, is a victim of one of these,  directly or indirectly. The numbers make it likely eventually.  It's a matter of time for all of us eventually.

I just heard  a term coined to describe america today.

"Massacre fatigue".

Two massacres in 13 hours,  at least 29 dead. Maybe america is just moving into a stature of massacre fatigue,  where we just  don't want to hear about the massacre of the day or night. Or the hour. Whatever.

Maybe we're going to get numbed to mit,  just avoid coverage about the latest massacre.
