With October coming up I was wondering if anyone was planning to watch some of their movies?

In October I’m planning to watch nothing but horror movies so right now I’m wrapping up a non-horror Full Moon triple release.

The films are...

Murdercycle: This came out in 1999 when Full Moon had ties cut with Paramount and therefore no budget. It’s more entertaining then you’d expect. The script gives one soldier the trait of being into comic books while not a stereotypical geek which is a nice touch. Lots of bad too though. The main actress never acted in anything before or since and it shows. She is so wooden you’d think she was part of the scenery.

Crash and Burn: This one came out in 1990 when Full Moon had a higher budget and could afford to higher real actors. Overall it is just a much better film. It is set in a dystopian 2030 where companies run the world. One has cyborgs that spy on people, but aren’t supposed to hurt anyone. Until a guy at a news station in the middle of nowhere starts spouting off bad stuff about them. The guy’s granddaughter reveals that the company sent a crash and burn virus to these cyborgs that disables the part that keeps them from killing people. The film has some problems and is way too slow and unorganized in the beginning. But the last 30 minutes or so is a lot of fun. It plays out like a classic slasher only with the killer being in a low budget sci-fi movie.

The last one is Robot Wars (1993). I’ll check that out either today or tomorrow  Smile

I vaguely remember Crash and Burn. I was not a proper bad movie connoisseur back then, so it seemed a terribly slow movie. The most interesting thing I remember was some nudity by Eva LaRue (because it was at that time of my adolescence).

I love the SUBSPECIES series as well as some solo entries such as Hell Asylum and The Dead Dont Die! The WITCHHOUSE series is also very entertaining, especially the last entry: Demon Fire.

As far as I know, the only thing I've watched from Fool Moon is the PUPPET MASTER saga, which I really like, although there's many stinkers there. I remember making a thread in this very forum reviewing every single one of those movies but left it after the fourth for lack of time. It was quite fun while it lasted tho.  TongueOut

Full Moon productions were my go-to B movie fix of the 1990's/early 2000's.

You could always count on them to deliver the 3 B's.

Did Full Moon just get the rights to DEATH BED? I know Cult Epics announced that their DVDs of it were going out of print. I just hope it doesn't disappear again.

This isnt the same film as the 1970's film, this is another film with the same title.

Full Moon made some good movies during the late 80's-mid 90's but after they lost their distribution deal with Paramount things went downhill.  They suffered from bankruptcy problems and the quality of their movies dropped.  Now they make some filmed on digital video that look like fan made films.

Yeah, it's kind of depressing watching the latest Puppet Master films.  Puppet Master III is like an epic film compared to Axis of Evil.
