For some reason it seems like 20-25% of film noire movies featured a scene in a hall of mirrors. Even Zardoz had one. Often these scenes involved a shootout with a lot  of peolle racking up lifetimes of bad luck. Often the malefactor's gun would run out of ammo and he'd be beaten by the good guy .

I've never been in a hall of mirrors. Has anyone here? If so can you really not tell a reflection from the real person? Has anyone tested the hall of mirrors movie scenes maybe with ultra low velocity paintball guns loaded with  water soluble  paint?

Those movies are all paying tribute to the classic hall of mirrors scene from LADY FROM SHANGHAI.

I've never seen a real life hall of mirrors. Maybe they were popular in the 40s.

They used to he quite the thing for public entertainment. Then again so did freak shows. We have daytime talk shows to t replace the  latter.
