I AM THE BAD PHOTOSHOP EFFECT!

I've been picking up the Trade Paper backs of KaijuMax  which is which is basically  OZ with Ultraman monsters.

The artwork is colorful and cartoonish, but the tone and stories are anything but.

Out of pure curiosity RC, do you bid on ebay for your comics, or is there a specialist auction site?

I'm not RC (I could never live up to that standard), but here is where I buy mine:

* Mostly eBay, but I prefer "buy it now" to auctions (because I'm impatient)
* NewKadia - I've used this website for years. No auctions, just click and buy. They run daily, weekly and monthly sales (sometimes as much as 50% off, but usually 25 - 30%)
* Comic Connect - I just discovered this website a couple months ago. They have "buy it now," "make an offer" and "auction" options. The drawbacks are: 1) you may need to wait 3 weeks or more to receive your order 2) if you use a credit card, they charge a 3% fee.

I usually bid on ebay.
But I always look for the comics in bad shape. Condition is not a concern of mine.
If I can afford it-!

Burgo- I will never get close to how many comics you got.
I do have a large collection of monster movie magazines!

This is the first issue I ever bought in 1970. I was 8.
I had seen the mag before when I was in a foster home in 1969. The teenage son of my foster parents had a stack of them!

I slowed down my purchases recently because I have a backlog of about 1.5 short-boxes of comics and Mad magazines I haven't read yet. I suppose I should read them before I spend more money.

RC, while I was out today I randomly found some old horror comic from the '80s. If you message me your address, I'll send it over to you.

Groovy!
I had to chill with my comic buying since Tiana moved out. We shared the bills.
Ah, well. Once I turn the heat off in the spring I'll have some $ to play with.

I've slowed down the past couple months - - but a local comic store is having a 50% off sale the first weekend in March, so I may need to investigate.

I went to the 50% off sale at a local comic store this past weekend. I actually went twice: Friday (their website said they were open until 7:00 . . . but they actually close at 6:00 and I didn't have time to finish shopping). Saturday (finished shopping!).

I ended up buying 36 Silver and Bronze Age issues of:

* Action Comics
* Archie at Riverdale High
* Batman
* Brave and the Bold
* Challengers of the Unknown
* Flash
* Green Lantern
* House of Mystery
* House of Secrets
* Justice, Inc.
* Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth
* Life with Archie
* Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane
* Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen
* Tales to Astonish
* Thor
* Weird War Tales
* World's Finest

I have plenty to keep me busy for awhile.

Bought this today.
It's in s**t shape. But it cost only 7 bucks and change. Somebody's gotta save these old timers.
