Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

Rev. Powell

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

R.I.P., Mr. Creosote. May all your after dinner mints be "waffer thin."

He's passed on! This Python is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired and gone to meet his maker! He's a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! His metabolic processes are now history! He's off the twig! He's kicked the bucket, he's shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!!
RIP, good sir.

Terry Jones was a comedic genius of the first order. . . . and the world is now a less funny place.
I showed "The Parrot Sketch" to my students in his honor today.
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

That's one thing about getting older, you live to see your era pass away as one by one the figures who defined it die. It's the sadly eternal scenario of human existence.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.
