How Weird Was Your 2019?

I was just thinking, it was sort of a strange year. Anything particularly odd happen around you in 2019?

For me some crazy homeless guy said he wanted to marry my eleven-year-old..... I saw two people die.... Right after talking about explosions, I heard several loud booms, and I know they weren't thunder.... My supposedly homosexual cousin told me he is going to be a father.... There were thirteen tornadoes in one night in a city where I work part-time.... My friend's mom punched me in the face.... I got three double-yolk eggs last year.... I hired a possible necrophiliac for a job...  I found out I have possibly homicidal coyotes in my woods.... And my then-six-year-old informed me she thinks ghosts watch you poop. And those things are just off the top of my head.

T'was a strange sort of year.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Boring, uneventful, and an overall s**tty year. I would be glad for its ending, except that 2020 looks even worse.

It was a fun year. I've loved watching the little man growing up and seeing his personality come out more and more. This year looks like it is going to have some challenges ahead and I say bring 'em on!

As far as weird things go though, I'd have to say it was disappointingly normal. My teenage years and 20's were full of weird years.

I got a class 1, 4 & 5 forklift driving permit in December of 2018.

So far, the only time I've ever touched a class 1, 4 or 5 forklift, was for a safety video back in February 2019.....

While uneventful, I'd say 2019 was pretty good with the exception of summer because of the heat (I already dread the upcoming summer). Other than that no weirdness, though I do have sleeping issues because of working shifts but oh well.

weird mostly in the sense that it was a better year than the precious 5 by far. yeah, a few crap points, but by and large, better. i'm still nervous...

Getting seriously ill was a major wake-up call for me shortly after being put through hell by my landlords of over 20 years who started breaking down my garden flat while I was still resident. As most of the house is now an airBNB, I get daily texts from them telling me to please do this, that or the other and my usual reply is to tell them to go F themselves. Bastards.  :hatred:

brother T, that's ridiculous, and i'm proud of you for telling them that! you do what is required by law and your lease, and tell them to bite  your narrow white hiney for anything else!

Let's see . . . my Mom died, my boss whom I truly loved working for resigned and moved out of state, I got a new boss, one of my daughters got married and moved across the state (here in Texas, that's over 700 miles away!), and I spent the entire year blowing up the history of the early 19th century in America and rewriting it . . . preventing one war, creating another, and generally having fun reordering the lives of our Founding Fathers.

Pretty average year . . .
