^ You know I got a hard on for Theda Bara.   :bouncegiggle:

Good guess! But It's Brigitte Helm- in METROPOLIS.

Of course, the classic profile - without her GOOFY eyes she looks alluring.  The segway in METROPOLIS from robot to girl was always ruined by her kooky goofy mismatch eye balls   :teddyr:

I thought it was Theda Bara too, but I had been looking at pictures of her earlier for some reason and she was on my mind.

Yeah- I look at pictures of Theda Bar too. She just is too cool for school.

I have a Tumbler blog. There's a search engine. Type in Theda Bara. You will get lots of pictures.
This is my 3rd blog. My 2 others crashed. But I been doing this one since 2013.
I have over 18,000 "followers" ( not like Manson followers- just aw f**k- you know!).
Any way- I got lots of Theda Bara pictures. And Pola Negi, Alla Nazimova, Brigitte Helm-
I dunno- I'm a weirdo.

I always thought her goofy eyeballs ( and she does have scary eyes!) made her even cooler!

^ I only seen 2 Louise Brooks films. That cinched it for me. My favorite actress of all time. the films I seen were PANDORA'S BOX and DIARY OF A LOST GIRL. She didn't make a lot of movies. Studios thought she was a little too sexual at the time. And she was  cool as a black cat !
These are not bad movies. So if your expecting train wrecks and fire-nah. They are silent movies. If you want to see beautiful photography, wonderful acting- mostly by Louise Brooks- murder, lesbianism, Jack the Ripper (!)- give it a watch. You won't regret it.
2 of my favorite silent films of all time.

Peter Straub cited her in Ghost Story, which I read in high school, and I went looking for who she was, and ended up reading her autobiography and watching Pandora's Box with this guy who also hadn't seen it. She was a cool lady and I'm surprised she isn't more of a 1920s icon than she is.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.
