ER

I thought Sean Penn and Robert De Niro were horrid in We're No Angels. I didn't find the original movie particularly funny but it was way ahead of the 1980s remake.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Imo Will Ferrell was funny in ELF lol

Lotsa folks may not agree- but I never found Charlie Chaplin funny- just irritating. Buster Keaton either.
And I like Harold Llyod and Laurel and Hardy!
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

I'm not a fan of Will Ferrell, but I must admit that he rocked in "Megamind".

Granted, I only watched MODERN TIMES, and even when I considered a good movie, the guy is annoying and frenetic, he acts like a guy on crack or something. Give me THE THREE STOOGES any time. I can watch those bastards right now and laugh.

I feel like an uncultured boor, but I never could stand the Stooges.

Thank you!

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world that never actually found them funny.

I'll take the Marx brothers over them anyday.

chefzombie

same here, and the ritz brothers too.
don't EVEN...EVER!

The only movie that I ever liked her in was Ghost (1990), but other than that, I never understood why Whoopi Goldberg was so popular back in the day. Even her stand-up comedy just wasn't that funny to me in the 1980s. Andrew Dice Clay was another comedian that I just never understood what people saw in him that was so funny; "oh look, he swears a lot, hahaha."
First rule is, 'The laws of Germany'
Second rule is, 'Be nice to mommy'
Third rule is, 'Don't talk to commies'
Fourth rule is, 'Eat kosher salamis'

Oh man, Clay was awful. Annoying as hell and super-trendy for a brief period. Blech.

Sometimes they're funny, but these days, I look at a lot of TV reruns, so METV has been showing STOOGES just like TV did 50 years ago, their old movies about a half hour each... but I never look at them...
I like CHAPLIN films.
I like BUSTER KEATON films.  In fact, I think his THE GENERAL (1927) is one of the best films made.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!
