FILK!

Basically sci-fi fan songs in the style of folk songs. It's hard to find versions where the author/singer actually gave permission for someone to post them.

This one may:

Dawson's Christian (NOTE this song has the word "Whore" used as part of a metaphor. Don't really like that, but otherwise it's a decent tale.): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0cbkOm9p1k

Pretty accurate psychedelic pop-rock that really sounds like it could have been made between 1967 and 1969.

50s-style rock and roll. With the cover and title, I was expecting/hoping for some exotica.

Just got this pretty sweet bootleg in the mail:

A collection of demos and out-takes recorded by Gene and Peter during the 1979 Dynasty sessions.

The guy from Sonic Youth (if you didn't know). This is more melodic than expected (while still being quite experimental), which I appreciate. More of a psychedelic than a punk sound.
