Breaking spaghetti before cooking is a big no-no according to most chefs, cooks and foodies. They are supposed to be that long, and consumed that long.

Do you care?

I almost always break spaghetti in half so it will fit into the pot all at once.

Machiavelli: seldom read, often misquoted, overrated. Physician heal thyself. (His ideas didn't get him that far.)

I read a selection from THE PRINCE to my world history class every year.
It's intriguing, to say the least.
