Sometimes I think there's still a one-percent chance I'm going to kill you someday, and I have moments where I wish I'd let you die on that floor with foam pouring out your mouth, but mostly I'm glad I called 911 twenty-four years ago because you're one of the most remarkable and generous individuals I've ever known, you gave the world two wonderful people I love, you've been tireless in looking out for me, and you've inspired all who know you by proving redemption is possible in this life.

I love you and I'm sorry I sometimes get angry.
