ORGY OF THE DEAD (1965) ~ dumb film

Back about 35 years ago, I was renting videotapes every week, which is how I got to look at lots of crap, like...

ORGY OF THE DEAD (1965) ...this sh!t makes any COFFIN JOE sound like SHAKESPEARE!!  The "script" was written by ED WOOD but he did not direct.  There might be a few negligee solo dances in fake graveyard but lots of talking... Probably the whole movie is on YouTube, but the brief clips below will give you a very good idea of how this film should have been called BOREgee OF THE DEAD.  This appearance is the highlight of CRISWELL's career (though no doubt then he himself thought it was the nadir).

BOREGY OF THE DEAD ranks near the top of any Bad movie list; but it's just bad NO FUN ALOUD yawn.  It is however not just painfully dull, there ain't no nothing "racy" in this sh!t 'cept the title.  CRISWELL is so bombedbadbastic that he's worth a few larfs, all summed up in the YouTube I posted at the top.  Even that gets boring fast and it's not even 4.5 minutes.  Any of the "racy" girls ya gotta sign in to look at ... uhm, no, there is way better to see and racier too that you don't have to sign in for...

There's something odd about this movie.  It refuses to leave an impression in my memory.  Every single time I hear the title, I think of some piece of 70s sleaze, then I see it and am reminded what it actually is:  The Ed Wood movie that's not even directed by Ed Wood starring that phony psychic guy.

Y'want '70s sleaze?  Comin' up.  This 1965 sh!t pretends it's sleazy.  It ain't. It left no impression in your memoray because being bored is rarely memorable.
