Well my Russian Internet friend appears safe, but another Internet friend lost his teenage son (I don't know the cause of death). How do you even begin to offer condolences for that?

Good advice.

I was looking through a website talking about Halloween stuff and I stumbled upon something I hadn't seen in ages.

THIS while no means the first Halloween costume I ever worse, was part of one of the first costumes I ever designed for myself.  It had that mask.

These gloves.

One of these cheap axes.  (Every Halloween I made it a point to get some kind of play weapon.  Sometimes they went with my costumes.  Sometimes not, but it was an excuse to get my parents to buy me an extra toy.)

and I wore an outfit that mostyl remsembled this.

Except that I distinctively remember the pants having a hole in one knee and putting green makeup on my knee underneath so the flesh didn't show.

I considered this costume a "SWAMP MONSTER".  I don't have any pictures of the outfit anywhere, but having all this together so I can "recreate" the look in a post is nice.

My little brother wore this mask with a custom made (by mom) black long sleeve shirt and pants with a skeleton pattern sewed onto it.
