Rear Window (1954) has never been among my favorites at all it's not a bad movie by any means but i just don't care for it even when i first saw it in the 90's.  and even less now because you see tv shows or movies do the same exact storyline as Rear Window (1954) such as Castle (2009-2016) where
Rick had a broken leg and the gang put on a fake murder just like Rear Window (1954) ...

"Fake murder?"  There's no "fake murder" in REAR WINDOW.  If you mean some TV show fake murder a la Rear Window... uh, okay.  But how is that the story-line being repeated?

I'm surprised how little love is given to the BIRDS.
It makes no real sense of why the birds go apes s**t, and doesn't make any real point. Except to make you real scared of birds.

I'm suddenly reminded of this article from over two decades ago:

"Master of imperfection"

Quote
Hitchcock may have been a master of many things, but his goofy endings were like a dead cockroach found at the bottom of a near-perfect cinematic sundae.

funny that someone posted about hitch today because i was just looking up the list of his lost films if you count the ones that are partially found there's 17 of them that are lost are partly found in all. some are ones he directed and the rest are ones he did before he became a director in fact some of them are ones he had written

Psycho, Rope & Rear Window.

Vertigo is a very close 4th.

They change from time to time... last time I did a Hitchcock marathon I found some of his later stuff surprisingly enjoyable. I'm talking about "Topaz", "Frenzy" and "Family Plot". Either they are very underrated ("Topaz" especially) or I was just happy to see some Hitch I didn't know by the numbers.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

those are all good man i enjoy the hell out of them. as far as i know i think Psycho (1960) was his last huge Success cause after that he did flop after flop i dunno why other than "The Birds (1963) which has never been a favorite of mine  the rest of them are great films i think. but just cause he had a lot of flops in his later years doesn't mean the films are bad either. i haven't seen Family Plot (1976) sheesh in years i don't think.

what i'm curious to know is he actually did some shooting for a film i think it was just location footage i can't remember if he had actually started filming or not but it was in (1979) in i believe new york city i wonder if that footage still even exists?

I'm glad there's some love for Rope here.

I'll go with:

Rope
Vertigo
Strangers On A Train

STRANGERS ON A TRAIN is one of his finest films.
