80s-90s movie about two swindlers working as pest exterminating

Can't find this movie anywhere. I don't remember a genre but just the theme that there were two men working in pest control and they were infecting houses on purpose and leaving their cards so people would call them up and ask to free their houses from cockroaches and termites. There was also a scene, how one of the clients stuck a hose with chemicals in the mouth of one of the exterminators out of anger.
Also I feel like in this movie was this main family, who were literally destroying their house through the whole movie because they were trying to find the termites in the walls, and eventually the house was completely trashed. Termites were in fact in the walls eating the wood. But maybe it was a different film.
Any suggestions welcomed, please help!

I believe this movie is called Crimewave (1985). Its one I think about periodically, figure out what it's called, then forget again 😂
